As a licensed professional counselor (LPC/S), transformational life coach, and consultant, Dr. Donna’s life mission and work aim to empower individuals and organizations to thrive in an increasingly diverse society. She is known to be a solution finder as she is well equipped to identify the source of any challenge and recommend achievable paths forward.
Dr. Donna is often referred to as “The Identity Coach “as she has a unique ability to assess and determine the issues at the root of most life challenges that rob individuals of their authentic identity. For more than two decades, she has served as a change agent, helping clients heal and restore from identity crises and creating a healthy physical, mental, and spiritual environment that allows people to give birth to their purpose. “It is not uncommon that I encounter people who feel stuck or a lack of self worth because of what they have gone through in life, including societal and workplace stressors. The internalization of one’s negative experiences in life or disaffirming messages can be seed-bearing to a fractured identity.” Dr. Donna is committed to unearthing the source of whatever stands in the way of you, rediscovering the authentic you.
Dr. Donna possesses more than 22 years of broad, comprehensive experience bridging federal government service, academia, and the private sector. Within these varied capacities, and as a highly sought consultant, she has achieved much success in helping federal, non-profit, and corporate entities identify and communicate their identity internally and publicly. She offers a unique psychological perspective to organizations looking to address communication and organizational and cultural challenges. Dr. Donna specializes in creating psychologically safe workplaces and has helped many organizations identify communication barriers, policies, and practices that negatively impact their culture, talent retention, and business revenue.
As a result of her continued solution-focused mental health leadership and advocacy for individuals and organizations across the nation, Dr. Donna serves as a member of the American Counseling Association’s National Public Policy Legislative Committee & Task Force and the American Counselor Education and Supervision Counseling Advisory Special Committee. She is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, providing independent, objective advice to inform policy with evidence, spark progress and innovation, and confront challenging issues for the benefit of society. Dr. Donna is the U.S. Department of Defense 2021 recipient of the “Spirit of Hope Award,” which was created based on the contributions of entertainer Bob Hope to members of the military and is annually awarded to individuals or organizations whose work benefits the quality of life of military service members and their families.
